Prepare your heart for this thought:

Age means nothing

Psalm 92:12-15
But the godly shall flourish like palm trees, and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted into the Lord's own garden, and are under his personal care. Even in old age they will still produce fruit and be vital and green. This honors the Lord, and exhibits his faithful care. He is my shelter. There is nothing but goodness in him!

WOW!!!!!!   God is so awesome!!  Look what he just told us in his word. God said that he has transplanted us into his own garden. This means that when we accept the salvation of Christ we are transformed.  At the moment of salvation, our soul that was lost is now transformed and transplanted into his very own garden. We are now members of the garden club.   God is the gardener and his word tells us that we are under his personal care. This means that God will water you with the  baptism of his Holy Spirit and he will continually prune you when you get wild.  Age makes no difference to God. He can transplant you at a very young age or at a very old age. And his word says that no matter how old you are, you are still useful and are a vital part of God's plan for the garden. Some people start off as young shoots and easily adapt to their new surroundings. Because they are young they have no deep roots that need to be chopped off in order for them to succeed in their new life.  Others have been transplanted as a full grown plant with lots of old roots still connected. But God, the great gardener can chop those old roots away and he can place you in his healing soil which is his word, the foundation of the world. God says that even in our old age we will still produce fruit and be vital and green. Do you understand what this means! It means that no matter what your age, you have a purpose. What does it mean to be vital and green? Well.......have you ever tried to burn a green log? It won't burn. The reason it won't burn is because it's to fresh, it has to much water in it to burn. You and I are the same as that green log, when we read his word everyday it waters our spirit and keeps us fresh and new, alive with his Spirit so that the fiery darts of the devil will not harm us. We don't live in fear of burning in hell. God said that he is honored when we produce fruit and are vital and green. He says that he exhibits his faithful care to us and that he is our shelter. Do you see how much God loves you? He loves you so much that he will provide everything you need to be happy and to grow. He provides you with salvation, he saved you from burning in hell. He provides you with the fruit of his Spirit so that his seed is now your seed so that you can produce the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. And when the storms of life hit you hard and you don't think that you can make it another day, just remember that God is your shelter from the storm. He provided a place for you to go when you feel over whelmed by the weather of life. If it's to hot and dry, come into shelter and cool off with in the shadow of the Almighty. If its windy with the temptation of sin, hold on to the cross of Christ as a secure post to keep you from breaking. And last but not least..... Never ever forget that there is nothing but goodness in God.
