Prepare your heart for this thought:
The
greatest shadow comes from the greatest light.
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the
Most High shall remain stable and fixed
under the shadow of the Almighty
(Whose power no foe can withstand).
When I
walk in your shadow I am under your protection. Your shadow covers me, it is
larger then I am. When I am covered by your shadow my enemy does not see me but
sees you, for when I walk so closely with you my weakness are not seen, my
earthly limited potential not seen. All that is seen is you in me and the shadow
that hides me blinds my enemy. The greater the shadow the greater the light and
I am nothing without you. It is impossible to be covered by your own shadow. A
shadow is the opposite of a reflection, a reflection doubles an object. A shadow
creates a place to hide. The Lord God almighty is my great shadow in which I
hide. It is His shadow in which I walk and no demon, no lie, no impossibility
will stop me from walking in the shadow of the almighty. The glorious reflection
of His love cause a shadow to be cast over me and binds the one who is out
searching and seeking to destroy.
When
your in the shadow you can see without squinting, you can see more clearly then
if you were standing alone out in the open. The Lords shadow is a mighty
fortress in which I walk in with great pride. I walk strong in His shadow, I
walk proud in the site of all that wants to hurt me. I know my Father and he
over shadows all my fear. For in His shadow fear has no place to hide.
The greatest shadow comes from the greatest light.
You can not hide in your own shadow. How silly for one to think that you can
help anyone if you yourself are not resting in the relief of the coolness of His
shadow. Step out from it and feel the heat that the distance causes. It is only
in the shadow that you find relief from the stress of evil. Lets tell it like it
is......... Evil is real, evil wants to kill you.... not your body for it
means nothing in the realm of all eternity, evil wants to kill your relationship
with your creator, to steal your soul from the hand of God. But God says that He
holds you in the palm of His hand. And evil wants to kill your knowledge of that
truth, of the truth of good and evil. To make you feel pride in your own
strength that is positively known to all to be the weakest.
When
you walk with your savior you walk in the shadow of His love and it covers a
multitude of sins. His blood is your shadow. You are covered in it. The
shadow of the savior is red. Don't be mislead by the worlds
thinking that likes to reiterate and tell you over and over how good you are in
and of yourself. The world would have you believe that you have the power to
save yourself, it tells you to just look inside yourself for the power to
cleanse and bring peace. But there is no peace to be found inside with out the
salvation of Christ living in you.
Wrap
yourself in the shadow of His glory, walk tall and proud in the power of His
might that is in you because of what He did on the cross. Walk closely with your
heavenly Father. In His shadow fear is not found. For in His shadow there is no
darkness, His is a shadow of light, it reflects all His goodness down on you as
you humbly walk beside Him in His presence. In God there is no darkness so also
is there no darkness in His shadow, for it cast a ray of hope to the hopeless,
it cast a royal blanket over the one who accepts His Son. The shadow of the Lord
is light beaming from heaven. It is rays from His light that stream goodness
down and cover all who walk in the presence of His Glory. The shadow of the Lord
cast out all fear. When you walk in the light of the shadow of the Lord you walk
in the knowledge of truth. You can see what others can not see, you can feel
what others can not feel. To the unbelieving world you will appear a bit crazy
for not being worried when they think you should, for not having fear when they
think you should. But as you walk in the golden light of the shadow of Gods love
you walk in a shadow that the world can not see, therefore they can not
comprehend why you do what you do or why you act as you do. For only those who
are like minded in Christ will fully know the joy you have as you walk among the
living dead in the light of Gods glories trying to save them. Trying to cast the
light of the saving shadow of the Son of God on a dying world. Its only when you
walk in the light that you can see how dark the darkness really is. For when you
walk in the darkness you become adjusted to it and it doesn't really seem so
dark. But after the light is turned on THEN... then.... you see how dark the
dark truly is. And the knowledge of the truth of the darkness causes you to run
to seek shelter in the light of God, in the shadow of the almighty you can walk
while being surrounded by darkness and you will not fall for you are in the
light of the shadow that comes from the one who created the heavens and the
earth and nothing can escape His all seeing eye. Nothing blinds the Lord for His
shadow cast the largest portion of safety because
only the largest shadow can come from
the largest light.
This
is what Job was talking about.... Job 29:2 & 3 states "Oh, for the years
gone by when God took care of me, when he lighted the way before me and I walked
safely through the darkness.
Job
was one who knew the power of the shadow of the Almighty. He walked in the
covering that came from the light of Gods shadow. No matter what happens good or
bad, Do as Job did, walk in the safety, in the knowledge that the light of His
shadow cast on your soul. People didn't understand Job. They wanted him to curse
God for the bad things that were happening to him. But what they failed to
understand was this..... Once you walk in the knowledge of the power of your
creator, there is no thought of fear that can ever make you turn your back, no
thought of turning your back on the one who knows your every thought, who knew
you before you were born. Once you really do know Him, not just know about Him
but KNOW HIM personally, His shadow over shadows yours. Living in the shadow of
the almighty causes you to not be able to forsake Him or deny the power
that flows from Heaven. It is impossible to truly know and believe and yet walk
in darkness. The truth will set you free from lies and once you live without the
lie you truly live.
