Prepare your heart for this thought:
Arrogant people forget
they came from the dust
Job 34:10-15
Listen to me, you with
understanding. Surely everyone knows that God
doesn't sin! Rather, he punishes the sinners.
There is no truer statement than this: God is
never wicked or unjust. He alone has authority
over the earth and dispenses justice for the
world. If God were to withdraw his Spirit, all
life would disappear and mankind would turn
again to dust.
Oh what a
loving God we have. A God of justice and mercy.
God created us from the dust of the earth in his
garden and he alone holds the power of life and
death in his breath. God is so merciful to us.
We walk around on his earth with great big
attitudes. We act as though we own the place and
others owe us for the privilege of enjoying
life. God's word says to listen, if you are
capable of giving into yourself and lean not
upon your own understanding but upon his. He
says to listen, all you who have understanding.
He wants you to know that he is Justice, he is
Righteousness, he is Holy and he alone controls
when life and death take place. God is never
wicked or unjust. Don't blame God when things go
wrong in your life. Take time to be honest with
yourself and look to see if you have caused your
own pain and circumstance. God will never draw
you into sinful thoughts or living. God's word
says that if he were to withdraw his Spirit, all
life would disappear and mankind would turn
again to dust. Think about it............ if God
withdrew his Spirit from your life or if you
refused to accept his Spirit into your life,
then there would be no life found in you. Every
once in a while we need God to remind us that he
is God, the Father, the giver of life and we are
his creation, his children, and we must obey his
laws in order to enjoy life. His laws are meant
to protect, not to take enjoyment from us. For
we all really do know that true enjoyment does
not come from sinning but from obeying God and
living with his Spirit breathing life upon us
daily.
