The Glory List
1 Corinthians 1:31
If anyone is going to boast, let him boast only of what the Lord has done.
Isaiah 60:1-2
Arise, my people! Let your light shine
for all the nations to see! For the glory of the
Lord is streaming from you. Darkness as black as
night shall cover all the peoples of the earth,
but the glory of the Lord will shine from you.
Today is a day of list. A day to boast of what the Lord has
done. Don't be shy. Think long and think hard, for all of us have reason to
boast. What is it that you think of first when you think of what God has done
for you. I believe that as you search your heart and your memory you will be
able to compile a glory list.
So often the devil is smacking us in the face with lies
that God does not care, God can not hear you or God is not real.
Today there is so much hate in the world and a lot of that hate is focused
towards those who live in the light of Gods truth. Those who love the darkness
of their sin and the tolerance of compromise with that sin would love to kill
the truth that lives in the lovers of light, to make them out to be crazy, to
make them seem out of touch with reality. They want to silence and extinguish
the ones who spread the truth that light and darkness can not live in a
compromising agreement.
Right is right and wrong is
wrong and there is no gray area. Everything is
black or white, there is no middle ground.
Christ did not die for some of the sins of the
world, he died for all the sins of the world.
The reality is that there can only be one truth.
Truth is truth and a lie is a lie. No middle
ground can be found in the reality of Gods
truth. God is God and in him there is no
darkness.
Darkness would have you
believe that we should be tolerant of each
others differences. Those living in darkness
refuse to see difference as sin, but only as
difference. They encourage those who live as
they do to fight against those who stand in Gods
light, and they make those living in Gods light
out to be the one who is being hateful. But the
reality of the situation is that it is the
person living in darkness who is spreading hate
and the compromise with sin, and in their
darkness they would have you to believe that
good is bad and bad is good.
BUT....God is not dead, God can hear you and
the devil is a liar!
So today take some time to
create your glory list, show where you stand in
the light of Gods reality. Make your list and
tape it to the fridge or to the mirror in the
bathroom and then every time you see it you will
be reminded of the goodness of God in your life.
Reading your glory list will help you to keep a
close eye on the reality in your life. The
reality that God is good all the time and that
God is light and in him there is no darkness,
and so it should be in your own dealings with
everyday life. You should live as a lover of
light who will not compromise, and who will not
accept any gray areas in your life.
Remember this..... that you may not always be
able to change someone's dark opinion about
what is right and what is wrong, but you can
refuse to accept their confused belief as truth.
